Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. ~ John 4: 13-14
So let’s begin in John chapter 4, When I seen these two scriptures the Lord allow me to see it differently. The way I saw it was when Jesus says ” Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again” I thought about what the world has to offer and when He said ” But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst” I thought about what GOD has to offer us.
You see what the world offers us only gives us a temporary satisfaction and we are back to square one trying to find that thing to satisfy us. Take it from a girl who was in the world and a victim of child abuse. I search for love and happiness from what the world had to offer and that’s alcohol, weed, and men but none had fully satisfy me. Every relationship I was in I was clingy because I knew once I was by myself I wasn’t truly happy but that moment being with them I got temporary happiness but being myself I felt depressed. Alcohol, weed and men were my happy pills but once those happy pills wore off. I was back to square one because you see what the world has to offer is temporary satisfaction. Like Jesus said to the Samaritan women, who ever drinketh of that water will thirst again and I sure enough was thirsty again.
It was when I accepted Christ in my life things change. You see I finally realize why I was always thirsty because the water the Lord gives I shall never thirst again. The joy, peace, strength and Love the Lord pour into me, Is everlasting. I never thought I would be in this state. Pure happiness and I never knew a love like this existed but that’s what the enemy doesn’t want you to know BUT I’m here to tell you the Joy, love, strength, peace etc that the LORD gives you shall never thirst again. So please get a hold of Jesus and let him pour his love in you so that you can know what real love is. Let go of the things of this world and hold on to the things of God. He loves you and waiting for you with open arms to pour his love in you. I pray this helps anyone who once struggle the way I did. REMEMBER THE WATER THE LORD GIVES YOU SHALL NEVER THIRST AGAIN.
